| Vinegar Stroke specialise in a dirty, sludgy, gleefully
ugly hybrid of punk, heavy metal, and bluesy hard rock, drawing from
bands like Captain Beefheart, The Stooges and Talking Heads in addition
to hardcore hippy and punk influences where many of the members first
cut their teeth. Its appeal tends to depend upon the depth of the
listener's interest in bullshit. |
Since bands
and session work in the seventies utility muffin have always kept
in touch with music. Over the last four or five years they have
become involved in the club scene in Edinburgh (Cabaret Voltaire,
Bongo Club etc) with musical collaborator Dave Barnard, DJ'ing
and percussing to their backing tracks. |
